About Our Sessions

We welcome boys and girls ages 3 and up. (Boys enjoy dance and tumbling too!) Our classes are generally age-based. No prior experience is necessary except for our advanced classes.

We seek to ignite a love for dance and develop the skills of aspiring students of all ages and abilities.

Classes are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Sessions usually run for 8 weeks, with breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring break.
We also have a flexible Summer session.

Our 2023-2024 session dates are planned as follows:
Fall Sept 12, 2023 - Nov 2, 2023 (8 weeks)
Winter Nov 23, 2023 - Feb 1, 2024 (8 weeks)
Spring Feb 13, 2024 - April 23, 2024 (10 weeks)
Summer June 6 - Aug 22 (10 weeks)

See our Classes page for pricing, schedule, and sign-up.

Our Recital

Soaring Stars Recital sign

In May, we proudly present our annual Spring Recital which showcases the incredible talents of our students, who have been diligently honing their dance, acrobatic, and gymnastic skills throughout the year.
The stage comes alive with vibrant costumes, as our students delight the audience with their dynamic performances. The choreographed routines are filled with energy, creativity, and a touch of magic, ensuring an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.

At Soaring Stars Dance and Tumbling, our competition teams are the epitome of dedication and passion for dance. We competed in two local competitions in 2024, expanding our teams to three from last year’s one. All of our teams received trophies, and our mini team even got an award for cutest costume!

With a strengthened presence in the competition circuit, Soaring Stars Dance and Tumbling is ready to soar higher than ever before!

About Our Classes

The classes are taught by owner and experienced instructor Vanessa Scudder.

Acro
Our Acro classes are split between dance and tumbling. These skills will be combined into a choreographed routine to be performed at the Spring recital and the competitions.

Acro/Dance
The dance portion of the classes will include instruction in strengthening,
flexibility, leaps, turns, jumps, and technique. The dances incorporate
elements of ballet, jazz, and hip-hop styles.

Acro/Tumbling and Gymnastics
Students begin by learning foundational tumbling skills and then
advance to more complex moves including cartwheels, acrobatic rollovers, walkovers, back bends, handsprings, and flip-flops. These tumbling skills will be blended with dance to create an exciting Acro performance where they will truly soar!

Tumbling Only
A high energy class for boys and girls who
want to focus on powerful tumbling moves and tricks without the dance component of Acro classes. It's also a great supplement class for Acro students who want to spend more time mastering their tumbling skills.

Private lessons

Contact us if you would like private or semi-private lessons to work on specific skills or to choreograph a dance for a special event.
